This training course equips staff who work with vulnerable children, young people and adults with the knowledge and practical skills to address emerging risks posed by artificial intelligence in online environments.

Participants will explore how AI technologies can be misused for grooming, manipulation, and abuse, while also learning how to critically evaluate online interactions, apply safeguarding frameworks, and promote resilience among children and vulnerable groups.

Through interactive activities and case studies, learners will gain confidence in challenging suspicious AI interactions and ensuring organisational safeguarding practices remain robust in the face of evolving digital threats.

Ringway Training are about to launch a new series of Open Courses (individual places available to book on a remote, live tutor led course). These have proven popular for occasions when there may be two or three staff in the team who require the training. It has also been popular with individuals who want to develop their professional knowledge.

The first session which we will be running as an open course is our popular Incident Debriefing Facilitator Training Course (https://www.ringwaytraining.co.uk/courses/incident-debriefing-training-accredited) on 12th March.

All our open courses are accredited, and we are aiming to keep these affordable with an introductory price of £59.99 per person. If you wish to book places, please reply with number of attendees.

For anyone who is isn’t aware, there is a new Online Safety Bill going through parliament which imposes additional responsibilities on firms which host user-generated content, i.e. those which allow users to post their own content online or interact with each other, and for search engines, which will have tailored duties focused on minimising the presentation of harmful search results to users.

Focusing on the topic

Tutor led training course can ensure that teams remained focused on the topic with fewer distractions and interruptions, away from their usual working environment where the chances of being distracted by other work issues and colleagues can be prevented.

Discussing issues with colleagues

E-learning can be useful for very straight forward topics with ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ answers, but many of the training topics in the young people, education and disabilities sector require much more focus on human soft skills and the success of the training will thrive on the opportunity for teams to discuss their experiences and questions.

Sharing ideas

Face to face training enables people who may have had similar experiences to share their ideas, thoughts and opinions and to gain new ideas and views from others.

Rewarding achievement

Providing staff training shows that you care about people’s development and can help retain staff, whilst taking teams out of their usual working environment and dedicating time and energy into the face to face training process, demonstrate the value the company puts on training, which can encourage teams to take the training seriously.

Getting people together

The usual working environment can be busy and by taking time out for face to face training, it can enable people to spend some valuable time together as team members to reflect on their work, experiences and develop their own positive working relationships.

Here at Ringway Training we’re marking World Mental Health day on the 10th October 2020 by show casing some of the great work our customers have been doing this year and provide some advice on the kind of training that may be suitable for your organisation.

Training cost savings

Whilst its easy to think in-house training by an external company might stretch budgets, its worth thinking again, cost per head is typically from just £30. In addition to this, you don’t have to pay for the travel and possible accommodation costs to get your employees to an external training centre, this could save you a significant amount.

Tailored training for you

Running an in-house training course allows the training to be a lot more focused on the specific subjects and skills that are relevant to your business. Public scheduled courses and e-learning will often be generic for businesses of any sector or size that attend them.

We can use current work examples

Training In-House means the courses can be prepared to fix your individual issues using real life examples and therefore have the most effect. People will be able to think about current work or examples of work which relates to their roles not a generic example.

Convenience

Organising training for a group of people all with their own schedules can be a very difficult task. However by having In-House training courses in your own building it can make working around people’s schedules a lot easier people can be easily reached if something urgent crops up. Plus its in an environment people know and are familiar with which is more relaxing and productive learning environment.

Encourage interaction and team building

Having a room of people from different teams and levels can encourage team work and communication. This is a great result as it is often in this social learning that the most learning is done when ideas are being bounced off each other. This will also likely lead to increased awareness and understanding of each other’s roles as well as staff morale.
